In Next Blog, Let's have some real scenarios, the two wedding I attended in Feb’09
Variety of rituals at many occasions, you may have noticed, in get-togethers. Let’s have a discussion on, the most show off event “Wedding Ceremony”.
I have attended a very few weddings, belonging to North, Mid, Mid-West, and South India Regions. I hope my Bengali-friend will marry soon, asap he finds a suitable girl.
I have noticed a couple of things, some of them bother us while others make us feel happy. I am mentioning some bad ones first.
(Puzzle)
About this day, the couple predominantly thinks, the perfect day for them, even the day is made for them but, and this is very untrue. You may not be agreeing at first, so let me place some perspectives.
First, ‘day made for someone’ dialog is applicable for dogs only, humans can have this day as many times as they can afford. A woman enjoyed, 23 times, holds the world record and may be planning to increase the count of ‘perfect day’ for her.
Even, the couple seems more like chimpanzees, acting as directed by ring-master (Pandit Ji). Both (Chimpanzee and Couple), never bother about the act/marriage rituals, they are just happy about the end; for chimpanzee, getting bananas; and for couple, you better know.
(Bothers)
The camera man, really handles the whole event. He even makes the rituals to happen in a stop-start mode. Stop mode: he asks to stop at sometime so that he can capture the so called "memorable" moments, better hallucinate the moments. I think rituals should be followed without interruptions/halts. You can imagine, what he can/would do, if he misses to capture some one time event. And may be no one will stop, b'coz the photos may be the only things, they can remember about the wedding ceremony.
(Some more)
No food for couple till the marriage is over. ‘Barati’ are merely satisfied, most important concern for Groom’s family members.
There are good things too. And these items over-count the above mentioned items!!
