Serendipitous Home visit Diwali'08

“What will you have in your mind to wish, when there is a 30 hours journey ahead?”
It depends, I think I can write some case studies, don’t get upset this is real case study, not a like you have accomplished (theoretically) when you were in college, or in the school if you were lucky one.

First if you are a 24 year old, and single or by any chance you got married in such a little age, and traveling alone, and you have your tickets confirmed, I could imagine only two things, first, there should be a TV and broadcasting a football (or cricket) match between Real Madrid and Manchester U (or India Vs Pakistan) or whatever sports you like most, and second, of course, a beautiful girl, when Ronaldo doesn’t hit a goal (Dhoni a six), you can’t get bored in that situation too.

I think rest of case studies you can imagine, as I have already put so many conditions on first, just remove some and add some. You can use your, whatever theory you have learned, no HOD (Head of department) is going to correct you.

Ok, enough theory I have explained, lets move on the part, my journey to home on 24 Oct ’08.
I had waiting train tickets and on Deepawali season there was hike in airlines tickets like the share market touched 21K, in few weeks. But I don’t know, how I got cheaper return tickets, may be they were charging more for just to send you home. Who cares after that, even I don’t, that you are returning back or not.

So, I started from Pune, Friday morning, (it consumed an extra leave, and how precious PL in software life, just get in and you will learn quickly.), 9 hours before my train departure from Bombay Central (BCT). I started by bus, the route is amazing; Lonawala and many site scenery on the way. You might get confused, who to see, a beautiful face nearby or the scene out-side the window.

I think when you started wishing so deeply, like I was, for my clearance of Bombay to Jaipur ticket, no beggar will be disappointed by you and you will bow all the GOD's places, you got what I mean. In the end you may figure it out how much this helps!

I reached the BCT 5 hours before the departure of my train. There were/are “dalals” who claimed (claim), that you will be having a confirmed ticket in 200 extra bucks. I think they are just GOD representative in the hell of railways system. When even 3 months before you can not get a confirm ticket, they can provide (better generate, or buy from heaven) one for you, even 2 hours before.

So, I too believed in GOD’s men, but I thought , let them try, what I were going to loose, if I got confirmed before him, I should not pay anything, and if not, then I will pay some extra, in this case he will be a true GOD's person. In end, I learnt that they book in VIP quota but I got my ticket in RAC, so, I just smiled at him, and wish him good luck in the hell.

In this whole time, I may have wished for a girl to be nearby during my journey, 3-4 times only, as some passed by me, but I got return very soon every time to the wishing for my ticket. Now I can sit somewhere, thank GOD, please send an angel from heaven, girls are not beautiful on earth. I think in pollution GOD is not able to see, how beautiful HE is making them on earth.
So, this is normal human nature, wishing so much, in the situation he only can wish. I got RAC then I wish that there should NOT be any girl sitting beside me on same seat. You know you have to be so polite and humble, when so many going to watch you, even knowing that after 24 hours no one cares. And if someone (she) will be sharing mine, I had to sit all-night.
But thank GOD again, to the Raliways, I think you will never get a boy-girl combo for one RAC seat, and there was a he.

We didn't say ‘Hi’, but we somehow started talking about Mukesh Ambani’s 800 Crore House. You don't have to be formal with guys, but mind it always with girls, I can’t explain this, may be this is a reason too, concluding that they are the most mysterious creatures.

There was a group of 5-6 students, all in first year of college. You can get this easily that in which year a student group would be, just listen to their talk.
Let me explain you more on this:
  1. The first year students always talk about ragging , books, grades, teachers who are not giving marks, in summery ‘GEEK’.
  2. All rest belongs to ‘Not first year’.
Now there were some girls too, but I got headache from geek chatting. So, I listened to music, read Birbal’s management ‘Fundas’. Some of them were hilarious. Like this one, “Once Akbar thought to fool Birbal, so he gave all of his courtiers an egg before Birbal reached to ‘Darbaar’. When he joined the court Akbar asked that whoever is Loyal to him, can get an egg from the Royal pond. So, each courtier returned with an egg after a dip in pool, Birbal didn't find one. So, Akbar asked what happened. Birbal said “My Majesty only Hens can produce an egg, and I am the only cock here.”

Why are you expecting an extraordinary event better say accident, should be there. It’s a normal train journey, and I got nothing special.

ISL Day Out Next Day

Disclaimer: This is my perception about how things happened and it may differ from others.
If anyone finds this offensive, please drop me an email. If required, I will delete off the blogs.

“What helps us more, reading  or discussion ? And why people always tend to seek favour from others ?”

First time I encountered such a philosophical question from a girl.
Next came in flow,  “And why people started writing about their thoughts and their fictitious goals, which were hardly related to them ?", from her.
I thougth she was talking about books. I imagined, how sweet this world could be, if they had invented voice recorder before the books(audio books). So, many people hate studying (reading and remembering) , me included...

“Actually this helps many people to create and chase their dreams and by only this you can pass over your thoughts to be memorized.” She answered too.

“I just revealed one more area; girls could be interested in, the theory in which mostly old people are interested.”, I thought. You can say it philosophy.

“You must have read a lot” I just stated the obvious.
This small talk happened, just before my team started gathering near the pool, and we joined them.

We went to sleep after a long discussion about how my colleagues learned so many things, not to do in Life. Also they shared some horrifying incidents.

What time you can think, you can wake-up when you go to bed nearly 3 AM.
But its different morning, in the lap of nature, so, most of people didn't miss it. Many of them wondered how long it had been that they have seen the morning after started working in software company and getting married.

Some of my friends revealed (they used), how many facilities the resort provided, as a simple Indian.

The morning was good; I was only interested in pool and some of my team members too, so we played after the breakfast.

After 2-3 hours, and figuring out what is dominant between beginners’ luck and lady luck, we joined the main hall, where ‘Antakshari’ was going to start.

There was 3 groups, first I noticed, a group of 3 beautiful girls, in second my colleagues, and 3rd all boys.

The anchor was fan of Kishor Da and it was reflected in his voice too. He requested us that he would like to sing a Kishor’s song for anyone who was interested.
My selection was “Eak Ajnabee Hasheena Se, Yun Mulaakaat Ho Gayi”, in hope, that someday I will meet someone as in the song.

After lunch and some more games, I left to Home Town. This was my first visit to home after joining IBM and first Job.

This is only the start; a lot more things were to come to me, someone had already put them for me. I can only think of HIM.

ISL DAY OUT 2007

We started journey at 4 PM from Ozone office. And we had to take people from other locations too, short of ‘Pune Darshan’.
HR peoples are as beautiful (always) as their arrangements (sometimes). The Bus, they arranged, has a build like an assembly in that two parties can sit against to each other to play a team antakshri or other games.

Everybody was singing, feeling like as they were Kishor Da or Lata Mangeskar without caring that they can pull donkeys out from the city, yet nobody cared. And there were special pupils of Himesh Rasmiya, they started whenever they saw a dog on the Road.

It was Friday so we were in causal attire, not the appearance I have seen when people go for a party. But each of us was fully loaded with party cloths and other party stuff. It just took only half an hour to prepare after we reached the resort.

The party, dance, DJ and wine/beer/juices, started at around 7 PM. Each single flower/beetle wanted to be with the beetle/flower, as this was not a office place anymore. They were hoping to spend some 'quality' time that can be remembered for a long time. Ambiance was there, wine was there and it was night that if all of it might have helped.

The night theme was “Arabian Night”. Against the DJ, and with the champagne, the software industry was just ‘Bugs’ free. It was last chance to campus hires, who have missed the opportunity before as being a college freshers, to take the control out of them (testing wine). Some just tested it and some over drunk.

We danced a lot, took dinner and again assembled near Pool. It was first informal interaction for me with Team. My buddy (who makes smooth entry to project as par IBM !!!!) opened fire on me and his comrade wanted me to hang myself. But after sometime everyone was sharing their thriller moments of their lives.

First time I came to know about my team individuals’ interest and many things you should know before talk to them, even in professional environment.

The Induction Program @ IBM

This program is simply an intro of any MNC, to publicize how great it is, so almost all MNCs have it. It is for new joiners to give them comfortable entry into the company. IBM provides 5 star hotel conference room and its food for 2 days. You will surely find any MNC is Best, as it meet the purpose too, in the end of it.

It is conducted for each new employee and usually held within 1st week of joining. But for me it happened after one and half month and that too when I requested for one. Besides intro we played games there. We were divided into teams and given a theme. Our theme was to present a bull cart and we presented it like a High speed bike.

The tutor was very energetic. You can see the effect of money on performance. Doing the same things daily with same or even more energy was the most inspirational part for me.

The first thing I learned in a Professional era :

“बदलते है रास्ते, बदलती है मंजिले,
बनते बिगड़ते रहते है काफिले,
पर साथ तेरा २ पल का अ-मुशाफिर,
सफ़र को सुहाना बना जातें है.”

Before The Event of ISL Day Out.

Everybody was excited about the 2 Days excursion, mostly new joiners . Most of them made preparations as if we were going for a weak, I got it in the last that what takes one week for 2 days.

Finalists of many events like ‘antakshari’, ‘dance’ and ‘rangoli’, and so on…, from different offices of IBM Pune, were going to show their talent.
All were invited alongwith their families; and this specialty makes married persons feel happy, ‘coz never to worry about the Expenditure. And for single also, to make it out with someone who is not going to ask for your credit cards, for ever. This great combination makes it an ultimate expedition.
There was only one participant from my team and she loves to remember each and every song, whatever old or new. This hobby assured her a hat trick in ‘Antakshari’.

Introduction to Blogs

College, a place where you can do whatever you aspire, in a way, 'The Heaven' to adolescence. There are no constraints to thinking and logical implementation. No border, for which, if any, you need courage to cross, to enjoy life at its  fullest. (The ways do vary from individual to individual.)
There always is a 'but' for any good creation in this World. So, here, it goes.
But still this is a platform where you have to learn and perform for the next life you have planned, although, every day is like 'Day Dreaming'.

Some things did go same with me too.
Left the Big Platform, prepared myself to face the challenges of life ,called 'Real Life Challenges'.

The story didn't go, the only word you can say, ‘not bad’ in starting. I got alone, separated from batch mates, feeling nostalgic in the city of surprise ‘Pune’. The new work life has a lot of fantasies associated with it ,in the minds of collegiate but nobody thinks that it is enjoyable.

The work, you like or not, but never say it in public, ‘b'coz  this is the basis of judging your professionalism. But the case is  not same with me. Let me not make it the part of story.

The second thing you want to focus at ,after your work is your team (when you have no friends in a City of Old Men.), and the formal introduction is held within 2 days, but the introduction for me in its real sense took a couple of months. The event was ‘ISL Day Out’.

It’s quite tough for anybody to recall the clippings of the whole year along with all the small and interesting moments. But when I felt that everything is not Logical, impossible word is out of my dictionary.

ISL Day out is the biggest fun-frolic event  at IBM. Continues…

Sorry Guys, the story is not having a bit of fun in its Intro part. I'll try my best, but the intro part as always how people find it, just an onset.
